3ipunt, one of Spain’s leading companies in the design, configuration, and customization of e-learning platforms based on Moodle — the globally recognized LMS used daily by thousands of professionals and students — has joined Cuatroochenta. The tech holding announced the 100% acquisition of 3ipunt via BME Growth following the signing of the agreement.
A key partner of Australian-based Moodle, the global leader in Learning Management Systems (LMS), 3ipunt has been instrumental in the Spanish market, where Moodle registers 13,000 sites and serves part of its 450 million users worldwide. Founded in 2004, 3ipunt became Spain’s first recognized Moodle Premium Partner in 2020 and has received multiple awards for user experience and customer feedback, including Major Open Source Contributor to the Moodle Project (2021) and Branded Moodle App Contributor of the Year (2024).

“A Strategic Step That Reinforces Our Vision”
“The integration of 3ipunt is a strategic move that reinforces our vision for the future of work and professional development,” stated Cuatroochenta’s Chief Operations Officer, Alfonso Martínez. He added: “The only way to maintain professional balance, emotional well-being, and overall wellness is through continuous learning and the ability to live alongside evolving technology. In today’s rapidly changing landscape, the need for lifelong learning has never been more urgent.”
«3ipunt has identified the need for continuous training and has been working for years with a focus on effectiveness. Organizations need effective content delivery now, and 3ipunt has successfully crafted the tools to meet this demand. They have a clear path and the momentum to scale»
The acquisition of 3ipunt marks Cuatroochenta’s eighth M&A operation since 2019, and its first since 2022. 3ipunt will now form part of Cuatroochenta’s Value-Added Reseller (VAR) segment, specializing in the implementation of third-party solutions while adding value through proprietary services and developments. They join other group companies such as Barcelona-based Ekamat — a Microsoft Business Applications Solution Partner with over 45 years of experience — and Galicia-based Conpas, recently named the top Zoho Premium Partner in Spain.
Growth of e-learning in Europe and Latin America
This acquisition represents Cuatroochenta’s strategic entry into the educational technology sector, supported by sustained growth in the e-learning market across Europe and Latin America. According to Global Growth Insights, 70% of educational institutions in Europe have adopted multilingual e-learning platforms, with strong government support pushing adoption rates above 50% in public schools.
In Latin America, the online education market surpassed $4.2 billion in 2024 and is projected to exceed $22 billion by 2033, growing at a CAGR of 20.68%, according to IMARC Group.
The acquisition of 3ipunt follows Cuatroochenta’s release of its strongest financial results to date, with record organic growth reported in both FY 2024 and Q1 2025, further reinforcing its acquisition capacity.
In the purchase of 3ipunt by Cuatroochenta, the firms Company Legal Partners and Oficina Técnica Tributaria participated as advisors, along with Delvy representing the seller.
