Cuatroochenta receives a significant boost to its M&A strategy with the first entry of an international institutional investor. Eiffel Investment Group and the Spanish technology company have signed a €2 million investment agreement that will provide funding for its inorganic growth through the subscription of four-year convertible bonds.
The agreement is structured as a loan that allows Eiffel to convert it into 480S shares from day one at a price of €18, 31% above the value (on the day of signing) on BME Growth, the Spanish market for expanding companies where it has been listed since 2020. Cuatroochenta, for its part, has the option to request the conversion of the bonds into shares after the first 12 months from issuance at a price of €18 per share, or alternatively, to repay them.
«This is a strategic operation for Cuatroochenta, as it enables us to accelerate our inorganic growth strategy, likely in 2025, and strengthen a solid financial position, in addition to representing the endorsement of a powerful international investment group in our trajectory and business model»
Eiffel is an independent French investment firm managing over €7 billion in assets, with a presence in Europe, the U.S., and the Middle East. Following the entry of Inveready in 2021, the transaction with the French investment group represents a qualitative leap in Cuatroochenta’s evolution and positioning as a key technology company in Spain and Latin America. Since 2018, the B2B technology company has completed the acquisition of eight companies.
