Finding the best solution for the mobile banking service in Latin America which provides one of the largest banks in the world. And doing so with technology and innovation made in Panama. That is the challenge. Cuatroochenta Latam has qualified for the final of the international competition Citi Mobile Challenge Latam 2014, competing with Silicon Valley firms and becoming the only company in Panama to get it.
In order to outsource technological innovation of its mobile banking, Citibank has called the best developers in Latin America and the United States to improve the performance of its app for both businesses and home users.
Cuatroochenta Latam participated in the category of innovative B2B (Bussines to Bussiness) and B2C (Business to Consumer) mobile solutions which can be integrated with the current Citi Mobile. Cuatroochenta submits its final proposal on 30th and 31st May in Buenos Aires. Among its main contributions, Cuatroochenta will defend the implementation of a native app of an advanced level for banking, with electronic wallet, transactional security and management tools such as CRM, BPM and incident management.
The #citimobilechallenge virtual contest involved a total of 130 companies from 19 countries throughout the Americas, 24 of them from USA, 22 from Argentina, 20 from Colombia, 10 from Mexico, 6 from Brasil and Cuatroochenta Panama will finally be the representative of the Isthmus country. After this final phase, Citibank will announce the final winner on June 13th.
The jury, driven by the US bank, is made by a panel of business leaders and experts in new technologies, many of them international executives from Citigroup, including Jorge Ruiz, president and chief of digital banking and business development at Citibank Latin America. The objective, "choosing the most promising application for users and companies in Latin America".
Just last week, executives from Citibank and Cuatroochenta met on the Technology Day of Panama, in which both entities lectured about new business opportunities thanks to app technology. The lecture by Cesar Tauste, managing director at Cuatroochenta Latam, was highlighted in model newspapers such as Panama America. The app development and advanced software solutions for leading companies in Panama, the participation in the most important innovation events or this last selection for the final of the prestigious virtual contest of Citibank prove the remarkable implementation of Cuatroochenta in the Central American country and the region.
Thanks to its professionalism and creative vision, Cuatroochenta positions as a leader in the field of innovation and new technologies in Panama; this will enable the company to join soon the Panamanian Chamber of Technology as an associate. Thus, their managers collaborate with specialized reports in leading media in Central and South America, such as It Now or Evaluando Software. Recently they have also participated in a major conference at the National Authority of Public Servicies of Panama (Panama ASEP) on telecommunications, society and mobile applications, on the World Telecommunication Day. This time, Cesar Tauste shared table with the National Director of Telecommunications in Panama, Ing Edwing Castillo, and deputy director of Radio and Television, Ing Alkin Saucedo, in an event organized masterfully by Mr. Ricardo Charles Alveo. Next June the 18, he will offer a new conference on Digital Entrepreneurs Forum, organized by the economics and finance newspaper Panama Capital Financiero at the Intercontinental Hotel in Panama.
