Can we measure, in a rock concert, who dances, jumps, and moves? The answer is yes: it is possible via the accelerometer in the participants’ mobile phones. Zhem, a new Spanish brand of free Android smartphones and tablets, decided to prove it using a technology developed by Cuatroochenta.
This is a fun contest that will take place on the stage that shares the same name with the first day of Viña Rock festival, which celebrates its 20th edition from Thursday, April 30th, to Saturday, May 2nd in Villarrobledo (Albacete). This is the first time such a unique action will be carried out in a Spanish music festival.
The contest #MomentoZhem – ¡Agitatumóvil! (#MomentZhem – Shake your mobile!), object of a successful advertisement campaign during the last weeks on social networks; will have a very easy mechanism. In order to participate, the public will have to download the official application of Viña Rock 2015, Android version, and log in. The chosen concert to carry out this action is Lagwagon that will witness the long-waited coming back of one of the most legendary American melodic hardcore bands of the 90s, who will perform on Thursday, April 30th from 21:30 to 22:40 on Zhem stage.
A performance already planned to be hectic as it is, but it will also have the attraction of this unique contest. The participants will only have to open the section Zhem on the app, after activating the button “compete and win”, and then simply dance, jump, have fun…and shake their mobile phones without leaving the app so that the movement remains registered automatically via the accelerometer of each device.
The participants who have shaken the most their mobile phones during the hour and 20 minutes of the Lagwagon concert will be registered in Zhem ranking and win these prizes:
1º) Viña Rock 2016 pass + Zhem 500 mobile phone + Power Bank Edition 20 Viña Rock.
2º) Viña Rock 2016 pass + Zhem tablet 1010.
3º) Viña Rock 2016 pass + Power Bank edition XX Viña Rock.
